BINTULU – Strong collaboration between schools, teachers, and parents has been highlighted as the key to student success in both academic achievement and character development.
Tanjong Batu State Assemblyman, Johnny Pang Leong Ming, speaking at the Overall Excellence Recognition Ceremony of Session 3 at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Agama (A) Majlis Islam Sarawak (MIS) Bintulu 2025, emphasised that education requires comprehensive support from all stakeholders.
He noted that students must not only excel academically but also embody values of discipline, responsibility, and identity.
“The students’ achievements today are the result of a joint effort. The dedication of teachers and the continuous support of parents play a big role in shaping the success and personality of children,” he said.
Pang stressed that modern education must strike a balance between academic performance and character building, especially in a rapidly changing world.
He praised SK (A) MIS Bintulu’s approach, which integrates noble values, respect, and soft skills into its teaching framework, ensuring students are competitive and integrity-driven.
He urged students to use the recognition they received as motivation to continue striving for excellence and to face future challenges with resilience.
At the same time, he expressed appreciation to teachers for their commitment and to parents and guardians for their close cooperation with the school.
Pang expressed hope that SK (A) MIS Bintulu will continue to nurture a generation capable of contributing positively to society and the state.
He underscored that collaboration between schools and families is not only vital for academic success but also for producing well-rounded individuals who can meet the demands of the future.
The ceremony celebrated outstanding student achievements, reinforcing the importance of collective effort in education and the shared responsibility of schools, parents, and communities in shaping Sarawak’s next generation.
