Daro Islamic Lecture Promotes Faith and Unity

DARO – A religious lecture programme held at the Daro Sports Complex has effectively fostered Islamic solidarity and enhanced public understanding of core religious principles.

The event, titled “Umat Akhir Zaman: Tunjukkan Ku Jalan yang Lurus”, was coordinated by the Daro District Islamic Religious Office in partnership with the Daro Malay Islamic Welfare Trust Board.

The session featured Ustaz Abdul Somad, a distinguished Indonesian preacher, as the keynote speaker.

He highlighted the importance of reinforcing faith, maintaining consistency in worship, and using the Quran and Sunnah as essential guides for daily life.

Additionally, he called for Muslim unity, discouraging divisions, and emphasised accumulating righteous deeds in anticipation of the end times.

Activities commenced with congregational Maghrib and Isha prayers at 6.30 pm, followed by recitations of Surah Yasin and qasidah prayers, which enriched the spiritual environment.

Despite rainfall, a turnout of thousands reflected the community’s strong commitment to religious education and moral development.

The programme concluded with a souvenir presentation to Ustaz Abdul Somad in recognition of his contributions.

Such initiatives play a crucial role in strengthening communal bonds and promoting ethical awareness, aligning with wider efforts to support religious harmony in the region.
