KUCHING: Dato’ Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman, the Chief Political Secretary to the Premier of Sarawak, has expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Premier of Sarawak, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Abang Openg, for reappointing him to the position.
Dato’ Fazzrudin, who is also the State Assemblyman (ADUN) for Tupong, reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the Premier’s leadership and the Sarawak government’s ongoing development initiatives, particularly the Post-COVID-19 Strategy (PCDS) 2030, which focuses on sustainable growth and environmental preservation.
In a statement shared on his social media, he highlighted the importance of ensuring Sarawak’s development policies reach all levels of society. “Throughout my service, the Office of the Political Secretary to the YAB Premier has carried out various initiatives to spread awareness of Sarawak Government policies. These policies must benefit all segments of the community to ensure they remain aligned with the people’s aspirations,” he said.

Dato’ Fazzrudin also reiterated his unwavering support for efforts to protect Sarawak’s rights as outlined in the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63), the Intergovernmental Committee (IGC) Report, and the Federal Constitution. He stressed that these documents are essential in safeguarding Sarawak’s autonomy and ensuring a fair partnership within Malaysia.
His reappointment was officially confirmed during the oath-taking ceremony held at Wisma Bapa Malaysia, Petra Jaya today, where he received his letters of appointment. Dato’ Fazzrudin was first appointed to this position on 18 February 2022 and has since worked diligently to strengthen communication between the Sarawak government and the people.
Moving forward, Dato’ Fazzrudin is determined to continue playing an active role in supporting Sarawak’s growth and development under the Premier’s leadership. – UKAS EDITION
