Jeter's Majestic Estate Finds a New Owner

“A man’s home is his castle,” the saying goes. Now, former New York Yankee shortstop Derek Jeter’s castle is no longer his home. In a significant real estate move, Jeter has decided to sell his magnificent Greenwood Lake estate in Orange County, New York.

According to Architectural Digest, Jeter has contracted with Mansion Global to oversee the sale of this grand property. Originally listed at $14.75 million when it first hit the market in 2018, the estate’s price has now been adjusted to $6.5 million.

A Glimpse into Tiedemann Castle

The centerpiece of Jeter’s estate is the 9,000-square-foot Tiedemann Castle, a three-story structure that exudes historical charm with its battlements and turrets, while boasting a thoroughly modern interior. Jeter acquired the property in several transactions during the early 2000s, initially investing $1.6 million for the site and subsequently pouring an additional $3 million into renovations.

Extensive Grounds and Luxurious Amenities

Beyond the castle, the estate spans four acres and includes a myriad of luxurious amenities. The property features guest houses, a boat house, a pool house, an outdoor kitchen, a serene lagoon, and a dock. One of the most unique aspects of the estate is a replica of the Statue of Liberty, adding a touch of iconic Americana to the expansive grounds. Altogether, the estate offers almost 12,600 square feet of living space.

As Jeter parts ways with this stunning property, prospective buyers have a rare opportunity to own a piece of architectural and sports history.
