Motorcycle Skids Off Road
Initial investigations revealed that the motorcycle suddenly lost control and skidded to the left side of the road near an exit. Unfortunately, the impact was severe, and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:40 pm.

“Our investigation suggests that the victim lost control of his motorcycle, leading to the crash. We urge road users to always stay alert and ride safely,” Superintendent Damataries said.

Police Investigation Underway
The case is currently being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987, which deals with reckless or dangerous driving causing death.

Following the accident, the victim’s body was transported to the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) Forensic Unit for a post-mortem examination. Meanwhile, his motorcycle was taken to the Kota Samarahan Police Traffic Station for further inspection.

The police advise all road users to be extra cautious, especially when traveling on high-risk roads, to prevent such unfortunate incidents.
