H2H Programme Boosts Rabies Control in Sebauh and Tubau

SEBAUH – The Bintulu Division Veterinary Services Department (DVS), in partnership with the Bintulu Development Authority (BDA), has successfully carried out a House-to-House (H2H) programme to strengthen rabies control measures in the Tubau and Sebauh areas.

The initiative, held on 19 April 2026, focused on anti-rabies vaccination, dog licensing, and microchipping. The programme involved visits to 21 longhouses, with an additional 10 locations scheduled for follow-up.

During the campaign, veterinary officers administered 15 doses of anti-rabies vaccine, comprising 11 first-time injections and 4 booster shots.

Alongside vaccination, 13 electronic licences were issued to dog owners, while 15 dogs were successfully microchipped, involving 12 households.

These measures are designed to improve traceability and accountability, ensuring that pets are properly documented and protected.
