Israel-Iran Ceasefire Holds Despite Trump’s Angry Outburst at Both Sides

A fragile ceasefire between Israel and Iran appears to be holding, even after U.S. President Donald Trump launched a fierce verbal attack on both nations for breaching the deal he brokered.

Trump, who announced a “complete and total ceasefire” late Monday, expressed frustration when reports emerged that Israel conducted an airstrike on an Iranian radar installation soon after the truce began. He reportedly summoned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and ordered forces to “calm down,” with Israeli jets called back mid-flight to prevent further hostilities.

Meanwhile, Israel alleged that Iran launched ballistic missiles into its airspace within hours of Trump’s declaration. Iran’s foreign minister denied those launches, insisting that its military had ceased operations around the agreed deadline.

Despite claims of violations, there has been no new sustained military escalation. Oil markets responded to the tentative truce by dropping roughly 5%, reflecting a decreased risk to regional energy supplies.

Trump’s public scolding—filled with profanity—underscored his impatience and intent to enforce the ceasefire he facilitated. He demanded both countries end combat, asserting no regime change in Iran was sought, and urged restrain.
