The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) condemned the strikes, calling them “clear violations” of Resolution 1701 and warning that such actions undermine efforts to maintain stability along the Blue Line.

The European Union also urged Israel to respect the ceasefire, highlighting the risk of escalation across the regionAljazeera.

Israel has defended its actions, claiming the strikes targeted Hezbollah infrastructure and weapons depots.

However, Lebanese officials argue that the attacks have increasingly shifted into civilian areas, with President Joseph Aoun describing them as “flagrant crimes” against Lebanon’s sovereignty.

The escalation comes amid mounting tensions, with analysts warning that the fragile truce could collapse if cross-border hostilities continue.

Farmers in southern Lebanon and the Bekaa Valley have already reported devastating losses, as agricultural lands lie abandoned due to repeated bombardments.

As the situation deteriorates, humanitarian organisations have raised alarms over the displacement of families and the destruction of livelihoods.

The renewed violence underscores the volatility of the Lebanese-Israeli border and the urgent need for diplomatic intervention to prevent a wider conflict.
