Israeli forces have escalated their military operations across southern Lebanon and the Bekaa Valley, with multiple airstrikes and drone attacks reported since Monday.
The latest wave of violence has resulted in civilian casualties and widespread destruction, raising fears of a renewed conflict nearly a year after the ceasefire agreement brokered under UN Resolution 1701.
Lebanese media confirmed that one civilian was killed when an Israeli drone targeted a car on the Baysariyeh highway in Sidon district.
The vehicle was completely destroyed, and footage later showed emergency crews removing the wreckage.
Another drone strike was reported in Hermel, in the Bekaa Valley, though initial reports suggested no casualties.
Air raids were also carried out in the Qatrani and Jarmaq areas of southern Lebanon, as well as the eastern mountain range near Nabi Sheet.
Fires broke out in several locations following the bombardments, spreading to the outskirts of towns including Al-Rihan and Houmin.

The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health confirmed additional casualties in recent days, including attacks in Tyre and Nabatieh districts, where vehicles and residential areas were struck.
Witnesses described scenes of panic as parents rushed to collect children from schools near the targeted zones.
The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) condemned the strikes, calling them “clear violations” of Resolution 1701 and warning that such actions undermine efforts to maintain stability along the Blue Line.
The European Union also urged Israel to respect the ceasefire, highlighting the risk of escalation across the regionAljazeera.
Israel has defended its actions, claiming the strikes targeted Hezbollah infrastructure and weapons depots.
