SMK Kemena Wins JPJ Cadet War Cry Competition 2026 in Sarawak

KUCHING – The Sarawak State Level JPJ Cadet Team War Cry Competition, held in conjunction with the 80th JPJ Day Anniversary Celebration 2026, concluded with spirited performances from schools across the state.

SMK Kemena Bintulu emerged as the champion, while SMK Baru Bintulu secured second place. The third spot went to SMK Penrissen Kuching, marking a strong showing from both Bintulu and Kuching schools.

The judging process took place a day earlier, with a panel comprising senior officials and representatives from JPJ Sarawak and the Sarawak State Education Department.

Among the judges were YBrs. Tuan Mohd Faizal David bin Jemat, Deputy Director of JPJ Sarawak; Tuan Christopher Alex anak Boniface Barau, Head of Senior Division (Management and Corporate); Cikgu Mohammad Mortaza Fatemi bin Morshidi, representing the Education Department; Puan Fifi Suhesty binti Asmuni, Head of Enforcement Division; and Tuan Othman bin Mohamad, Head of the Prosecution Unit.

JPJ Sarawak extended its congratulations to all participating teams, commending their creativity, discipline, and teamwork.

Officials highlighted that the competition not only showcased talent but also reinforced values of identity, discipline, and road safety awareness among the younger generation.

The event was part of the wider celebrations marking JPJ’s 80th anniversary, reflecting the department’s commitment to engaging youth in meaningful activities.

By involving cadet teams, JPJ aims to instil responsibility and awareness of road safety from an early age, ensuring that future drivers and citizens uphold safe practices.
