The donation was made following a request raised by this year’s incense burner, Albert Lee, who played an active role in highlighting the temple’s needs to Dato Lo. The temple management has welcomed the contribution and said the funds will help ensure smooth daily operations.

In a brief ceremony, the Kak Kuang Temple Council expressed heartfelt thanks to Dato Lo Khere Chiang for the assistance. The council also acknowledged the efforts of Albert Lee for successfully securing the allocation, which is intended to support the temple’s day-to-day affairs.

The funds are expected to be used for maintenance, daily utilities, and other essential expenses that keep the temple functioning. With the allocation, the temple can continue to provide religious services and cultural activities to devotees without disruption.

During the presentation, the temple’s chairman, Fang Wenxiang, who also serves as a Justice of the Peace, highlighted the importance of community support for religious groups. He said such contributions not only ease operational costs but also encourage the continued growth of local religious culture.

The grant was officially handed over to temple board member Zheng Hanxiong. Present at the event were key figures including Batu Kitang District Councillor and the head of the temple’s “Birthday of the Great Emperor Zhusheng” celebration, Albert Lee.
