KUCHING – The Sarawak State Health Department, through its PERKIP Headquarters Branch, held a Lambuk and Dates Distribution Programme on 6 March 2026 at the department’s lobby to mark the arrival of Ramadan.
The event was officiated by Misah Md Ramli, who spoke about the value of strengthening unity among staff during the holy month.
During the programme, 300 packs of bubur lambuk and dates were distributed to employees of the Sarawak State Health Department. Staff members welcomed the initiative, which created a warm and friendly atmosphere within the workplace.
Organisers said the programme focused on more than food distribution. The gathering encouraged interaction among colleagues and reinforced relationships within the department.
The event also reflected the values closely associated with Ramadan, including compassion, sharing, and unity among the community.
The department hopes similar initiatives continue in the coming years, helping employees appreciate the meaning of Ramadan while strengthening goodwill across the organisation.
Such programmes form part of wider efforts by government agencies to observe Ramadan through meaningful activities that combine spiritual reflection with community engagement.
