The event, The Gawai Dayak Festival Charity Food Basket Distribution, is being organised by the Tabuan Jaya Chamber of Commerce. The meeting involved leaders from five nearby Iban kampungs, including TR Diana John, Penghulu Dato’ Alex Pui, and Mr Steve Chung, special assistant to YB See Chee How, the State Assemblyman for N11 Batu Lintang.

Scheduled for Sunday, 11 May 2025, at 10.30am, the main event will be held in front of Teck Kong Supermarket, Tabuan Jaya Shopping Centre, Kuching. The highlight will be the distribution of 50 food baskets, each worth RM100, to selected indigenous families in need.

These food baskets will be personally handed out by the Guest of Honour, YB See Chee How, State Assemblyman for N11 Batu Lintang.

This charity initiative is part of the Batu Lintang community care movement, which encourages compassion, inclusivity, and unity among Sarawakians, especially during the festive season.

Stay tuned as the Gawai celebration continues with heart and hope for all.
