KUCHING – Batu Kitang assemblyman Lo Khere Chiang visited two medical facilities in Kuching on Monday to check on constituents currently undergoing treatment.

His first stop was at the Emergency Ward of Sarawak General Hospital, where he visited an elderly patient from his constituency. Later, he proceeded to Pusat Jantung Sarawak (Sarawak Heart Centre) alongside the village chief of Kampung Haji Baki (N.13 Batu Kitang) to visit another resident receiving medical care.

While at the heart centre, Lo met Demak Laut assemblyman YB Datuk Dr. Haji Hazland bin Abang Hipni, who was also there to visit a community leader (penghulu) from his own constituency.

Lo emphasised the responsibility of elected representatives to be present for their constituents, particularly during times of illness or hardship. “Our community is our responsibility. In both good times and hard times, we must show up — to listen, to support, and to remind them they are not alone,” he said.

Both leaders offered words of encouragement to the patients and wished them a swift and full recovery.
