CEBU – Malaysia and Thailand have reaffirmed their commitment to closer cooperation, with both governments pledging to accelerate economic growth and enhance regional stability through strengthened bilateral ties.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim met Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul to discuss a wide range of initiatives aimed at deepening collaboration.
Central to the talks was the shared ambition to achieve a bilateral trade target of USD30 billion by 2027, a milestone both countries believe will significantly benefit their citizens.
Connectivity across borders was another key focus. Leaders agreed to expand rail and logistics networks to improve trade flows and facilitate people-to-people exchanges.
