MBKS Distributes Bubur Lambuk at Stutong Ramadan Bazaar

KUCHING – The Kuching South City Council (MBKS) continued its annual Ramadan initiative with the distribution of bubur lambuk at the Stutong Ramadan Bazaar today.

The event formed part of the MBKS Ramadan Programme, aimed at fostering community spirit and togetherness during the holy month. The distribution was graced by Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian, Deputy Premier of Sarawak and Minister for Public Health, Housing and Local Government.

Also present were Dato Wee Hong Seng, Mayor of MBKS, and Dato Zaiedi Suhaili, Deputy Mayor of MBKS, alongside councillors and community representatives. Their participation underscored the council’s commitment to engaging directly with residents and promoting the values of care and sharing.

The bubur lambuk distribution has become a symbolic tradition during Ramadan in Malaysia, often organised by local councils, mosques, and community groups. It reflects the spirit of generosity and unity, bringing people together regardless of background.
