KUCHING, SARAWAK – A tragic accident on Jalan Lundu-Sematan claimed the life of a motorcyclist on Wednesday, May 28th, 2024.

<strong>Victim Identified as Lim Lian Seen</strong>

The deceased has been identified as 54-year-old Lim Lian Seen from Kampung Pueh, Sematan. The accident occurred at approximately 8pm near KM15 of the road.

<strong>Suspected Hit-and-Run</strong>

According to Lundu District Police Chief DSP Damataries Lautin, the victim is believed to have been struck by a vehicle based on the nature of his injuries. Paramedics from Lundu Hospital confirmed Mr. Lim’s death at the scene.

<strong>Investigation Underway</strong>

The police have taken Mr. Lim’s body to the Forensic Medicine Department of Lundu Hospital for further investigation. The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
