KUCHING – Deputy Minister of Economy, YB Dato Hajjah Hanifah Hajar Taib, who is also the Patron of the Old Teresians’ Association (OTA), joined alumni members in a casual gathering at Tai Tai Restaurant here on Wednesday to share updates on the association’s latest initiatives.
The session served as a platform to strengthen camaraderie among former Teresians and to highlight upcoming activities planned by OTA. One of the main points discussed was the Networking High Tea with Teresians Alumni, which is scheduled to be held on 27 September at the English Tea House, Kuching.
Hanifah emphasised that the Old Teresians’ Association continues to play a vital role in connecting alumni across generations. According to her, the bond formed during school days should remain a pillar of friendship, support, and networking opportunities, even as alumni move forward in different life and career paths.
She encouraged members to stay actively engaged with OTA and expressed her hopes that the association will remain a meaningful medium for alumni to reunite, share experiences, and contribute back to the community.
“OTA is more than just a group of former students – it is a family. It provides us with opportunities to reconnect, to strengthen relationships, and to cherish the fond memories we all share as Teresians,” Hanifah said.
The Old Teresians’ Association, established to foster closer ties among alumni of St. Teresa’s School in Kuching, has been actively organising social and networking activities over the years.
