KUCHING – The Sarawak Timber Industry Development Corporation (PUSAKA) has taken another step in its digital transformation journey with the launch of the STIDC Management Dashboard. The platform was officially introduced on 9 July during the 3rd PUSAKA Assembly 2026, marking a significant milestone in the organisation’s efforts to enhance efficiency and governance.
The STIDC Management Dashboard is designed as an integrated system that enables real-time monitoring of organisational performance. It provides management with access to project implementation updates, operational data, and key performance indicators (KPIs). By consolidating information into a single platform, the dashboard supports faster and more informed decision-making, ensuring that leaders can respond promptly to emerging challenges.
Officials explained that the dashboard reflects PUSAKA’s commitment to embedding digital practices within its operations. The initiative is aligned with the Sarawak Public Service’s wider digital transformation agenda, which seeks to improve transparency, accountability, and service delivery across government-linked organisations.
At the same event, staff were briefed on the Sarawak Civil Service Environmental Standard (SACSES), a new framework introduced by the Sarawak Premier’s Department. SACSES replaces the earlier Public Sector Conducive Ecosystem (EKSA) practice and is intended to create a more systematic, sustainable, and conducive work environment. The standard is overseen by the Transformation and Innovation Unit (STU) of the Premier’s Department, which acts as the official certification body.
PUSAKA has pledged to pursue SACSES certification as part of its organisational development strategy. Leaders emphasised that achieving certification will strengthen workplace culture, improve service delivery, and contribute to a sustainable environment. The move underscores the corporation’s alignment with the broader aspirations of the Sarawak Civil Service transformation programme.
The assembly also included recognition of staff contributions. Certificates of appreciation were presented to members of the PUSAKA Innovative and Creative Group (KIK) in acknowledgement of their achievements. Staff were further updated on the corporation’s progress and accomplishments up to July 2026, highlighting ongoing projects and initiatives that support Sarawak’s timber industry development.
Yang Berbahagia Datu Haji Hashim bin Haji Bojet, Advisor to PUSAKA, attended the ceremony, underscoring the importance of leadership support in driving organisational change. His presence reflected the significance of the event in reinforcing PUSAKA’s role as a key player in Sarawak’s timber sector and its commitment to modernisation.
Digital transformation has become a central theme in Sarawak’s public service agenda. By adopting tools such as the STIDC Management Dashboard, organisations are better equipped to manage resources, track performance, and deliver services more effectively. The integration of SACSES further ensures that these technological advancements are matched by improvements in workplace standards and sustainability.
Observers note that initiatives like these are essential in preparing Sarawak’s institutions for future challenges. As industries evolve and expectations for transparency grow, the ability to harness digital platforms and maintain high environmental standards will be critical. PUSAKA’s dual focus on technology and certification demonstrates a balanced approach to governance and innovation.
The launch of the dashboard and the commitment to SACSES certification highlight PUSAKA’s determination to remain at the forefront of organisational excellence. With continued support from staff, partners, and government agencies, the corporation aims to strengthen its role in driving sustainable development within Sarawak’s timber industry.
