Following the opening ceremony, he toured the stalls, engaging with traders and visitors while observing the business atmosphere. His walkabout highlighted the importance of supporting small traders who rely on the bazaar as an additional source of income.

This year’s bazaar offers a diverse selection of iftar meals, ranging from traditional Sarawak dishes to modern culinary options. In addition to food stalls, organisers have introduced a dedicated zakat section, making it easier for the public to fulfil their religious obligations during Ramadan.

The strong participation of vendors reflects confidence in the bazaar’s sales potential, while the enthusiastic response from the community demonstrates continued support for this annual event. Traders noted that the bazaar provides not only financial opportunities but also a platform to strengthen ties within the community.

Ramadan bazaars across Sarawak are recognised as important cultural and economic events, bringing together residents in a festive atmosphere while boosting local commerce. The Saratok bazaar is expected to remain a focal point throughout the month, offering both sustenance and a sense of togetherness.

Officials emphasised that the bazaar is organised to ensure a safe and conducive environment for all, with measures in place to maintain order and hygiene. The initiative reflects broader efforts to promote community welfare while encouraging entrepreneurship at the grassroots level.

The Saratok Ramadan Bazaar continues to embody the spirit of Ramadan, combining tradition, commerce, and charity in a way that benefits both traders and the wider community.
