Sarawak Premier Pays Hari Raya Visit to Governor’s Residence

KUCHING – Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg paid a Hari Raya visit to the official residence of His Excellency Tun Pehin Sri Dr Haji Wan Junaidi bin Tuanku Jaafar, Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak, on 30 March 2026.

The Premier, accompanied by his daughter Puan Dayang Norjihan, arrived at Kasuma Resort at approximately 8.15pm. He was received by Dato Sri Haji Syed Hamzah bin Syed Paie, Senior Private Secretary to the Governor, before being escorted into the main hall.

Inside, the Premier was warmly welcomed by Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi and his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah binti Mohd Sanusi. The gathering took place in a relaxed and cordial atmosphere, reflecting the festive spirit of Aidilfitri.

The evening continued with a dinner reception featuring traditional dishes, where both leaders were seen exchanging views and sharing in the joy of the celebration. The occasion highlighted the close relationship between the state’s top leadership and underscored the importance of unity during festive seasons.

The visit lasted nearly two hours, with the Premier and his family departing at 10.00pm. The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi, Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier’s Department (Project Coordinator for Regional Development, DBKU and Islamic Affairs).
