The initiative was designed to provide convenience to the public by offering direct access to essential services and information.

The counters were strategically located in front of the Simunjan District Council building, ensuring easy accessibility for carnival visitors.

Among the services offered were the Simunjan District Council Customer Service Counter, the Valuation and Taxation Division, and the Licensing Unit under the Health and Urban Services Division.

These counters allowed residents to make enquiries, settle matters, and obtain guidance on council-related issues.

In addition, applications for home repair and reconstruction were accepted at the event, reflecting the council’s commitment to supporting community development and improving living conditions.

The programme also featured registration for the upcoming Simunjan Boiler Run, which will be held in conjunction with Malaysia Day 2026. Early registration was encouraged to ensure smooth participation in the popular local event.

Council representatives explained that the initiative was part of broader efforts to bring services closer to the people, ensuring that residents can access information and assistance without unnecessary delays.

By combining the service counters with the carnival, organisers aimed to create a welcoming environment where administrative matters could be handled alongside community celebrations.

The carnival itself attracted a diverse crowd, with families, traders, and local residents attending to enjoy the festivities.

The inclusion of service counters highlighted the council’s innovative approach to community engagement, blending entertainment with practical support.

Officials from MDS expressed appreciation to the public for their participation, noting that the initiative demonstrated strong community spirit.

They emphasised that the council remains committed to improving service delivery and ensuring that residents’ needs are met efficiently.

The Simunjan Boiler Run registration counter was particularly well-received, as the event has become a highlight of Malaysia Day celebrations in the district.

Organisers noted that early registration would help streamline preparations and ensure greater participation from the community.

The presence of the Simunjan District Council Electronic Sports Club (SDCE) also added a modern touch to the programme, reflecting the council’s efforts to engage younger audiences through digital and recreational initiatives.

Overall, the service counters at the Community Carnival @ Zone 2 Simunjan 2026 reinforced the importance of accessibility, inclusivity, and proactive governance.

By combining administrative services with community festivities, the council demonstrated its commitment to fostering a supportive and vibrant environment for residents.
