KOTA SAMARAHAN – The Stakan DUN Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) project to repair Jalan APT 2, which had previously collapsed due to soil erosion, has officially started and is progressing smoothly.
On 24 January 2026, council members conducted on-site monitoring to ensure the project stays on schedule, meets technical standards, and follows safety requirements.
The monitoring aims to guarantee high-quality repairs, protect road users, and restore convenience for residents affected by the road damage.
The project has now reached 45 percent completion, with authorities confirming that the repair works are expected to be fully finished before the Chinese New Year 2026 celebrations, offering timely relief to the community.
Council representatives reaffirmed their commitment to ongoing supervision throughout the project, stressing that public interest remains the top priority. Efforts are focused on smooth execution and ensuring the repaired road’s long-term durability.
The RTP initiative demonstrates the government’s continued dedication to improving rural and suburban infrastructure, addressing issues like soil erosion, and enhancing connectivity for local communities.
