This is not the end of the story. The Premier also announced that HDC and Hong Seng Construction will develop more affordable housing projects in Mile 15 to Serian and Samarahan soon. This shows the government’s commitment to providing affordable housing for more families across Sarawak.
One of the highlights of the ceremony was when the Premier handed over house keys to the new homeowners. On top of that, each family received a deposit cheque of RM10,000, given by the Sarawak government. The housing loan will be managed under a special repayment scheme provided by Mutiara Mortgage Sdn Bhd to make homeownership easier for the residents.
