59-Year-Old Man Dies in Tragic Car Crash at Taman Sukma, Kuching

KUCHING (Jan 25): A 59-year-old man lost his life in a fatal single-vehicle accident at Lorong Juara 1 in Taman Sukma early this morning.

According to Kuching district police chief ACP Mohd Farhan Lee Abdullah, the tragic incident occurred at approximately 7am. The driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, reportedly lost control and veered off the road while driving towards Jalan Pending.

“Paramedics from Sarawak General Hospital confirmed the man’s death at the scene,” said Mohd Farhan in a statement. The case is currently being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987, which pertains to causing death by reckless or dangerous driving.

Authorities have not disclosed further details about the victim’s identity, pending notification of the family. Police are urging witnesses or anyone with information regarding the accident to assist in their investigation.
