Grand Aidilfitri Open House in Petra Jaya Welcomes Thousands

PETRA JAYA, 2 April 2025 (Wednesday) – The spirit of unity and togetherness shone brightly at the Aidilfitri Open House held at the CIDB Convention Centre in Petra Jaya, Kuching. Thousands of guests attended the joyous celebration, creating a warm and festive atmosphere from as early as 9:30 AM until 4:30 PM.

The grand event was hosted by the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, who warmly welcomed guests and expressed his appreciation for their presence.

The event was further honored by the presence of Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, and his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi. Also gracing the occasion were the Premier of Sarawak, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, along with his wife, Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tuanku Bujang.

Joining the celebration were other distinguished guests, including Deputy Premier, Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, Sarawak State Secretary, Datuk Amar Haji Mohamad Abu Bakar Bin Marzuki, and Speaker of the National Assembly, Datuk Awang Bemee Awang Ali Basah. Several federal and state cabinet ministers and deputy ministers were also present, making the event even more significant.

The P194 Petra Jaya Service Center played a crucial role in organizing the successful gathering, with support from the Kuching and Serian Scout Association, Malaysian Volunteers (RELA), and all branches of the United Bumiputera Party (PBB). Community leaders from the P194 Petra Jaya area also contributed to the event’s success.

Guests enjoyed a variety of delicious traditional dishes, engaging conversations, and a vibrant sense of community throughout the day. The host extended heartfelt gratitude to all attendees and sincerely apologized for any shortcomings.

This Aidilfitri Open House truly embodied the essence of Malaysian hospitality, harmony, and cultural celebration.
