ASAJAYA: The Samarahan Division Islamic Religious Office, in collaboration with the An-Najah Mosque Management Committee, hosted the End and Beginning Prayer Ceremony for the Hijri Year 1446H/1447H on Thursday at An-Najah Mosque, Asajaya District. The event, held in conjunction with the Maal Hijrah 1447H/2025 celebration, aimed to foster spiritual awareness and strengthen community bonds.

Starting at 5:30 PM, the ceremony saw active participation from local residents and leaders. It began with the recitation of the end prayer for 1446H, followed by the congregational Maghrib prayer.

The beginning prayer for 1447H was led by Assistant Islamic Affairs Officer Ustaz Anwar Musadad Muhammad Tajuddin, while Samarahan Division Islamic Religious Officer Ustaz Bahrin Kawi led the Yassin recitation in honor of Awal Muharam.

The event sought to ignite the spirit of Maal Hijrah, promoting unity and a comprehensive, inclusive approach to religious engagement. Notable attendees included Deputy Resident of Samarahan Division Rais Ahmat, Asajaya District Officer Jerry Zainuddin Bidin, Temenggong of Samarahan Division Chek Bujang, and tribal and community leaders from Asajaya District and Sadong Jaya Subdistrict.
