BELADIN – A total of 1,170 water tanks have been distributed to residents of N.29 Beting Maro constituency in a move aimed at improving access to basic water storage facilities in rural areas.
The symbolic handover took place at Al Amin Beladin Hall, Pusa, on Monday, and was officiated by Beting Maro State Assemblyman (ADUN), Razaili Gapor.
Speaking during the ceremony, Razaili emphasised the Sarawak Government’s ongoing efforts to bridge the rural-urban gap in essential infrastructure:
“It is the responsibility of the Sarawak government to ensure that people in rural areas also enjoy basic facilities.
This contribution is very meaningful and will make the daily lives of the residents easier.”
Residents welcomed the aid with gratitude, praising the government’s proactive approach to improving rural livelihoods, especially in areas still facing water supply challenges.
The initiative is part of the broader Sarawak rural development plan focused on uplifting community welfare and ensuring no area is left behind.
