KUCHING, 4 Nov 2025 — The long-awaited Kampung Bumbok Hall project has been officially completed and handed over today, marking another milestone in improving community infrastructure for local residents.
The handing-over ceremony was conducted by the Public Works Department (JKR) and witnessed by YB Dato Ir Lo Khere Chiang, signifying the government’s continued commitment to developing rural facilities that benefit the people.
The newly completed hall will serve as a vital gathering point for the Kampung Bumbok community, providing a space for social events, community meetings, youth activities, and various local programs. This new facility is expected to strengthen community ties and support social and cultural engagement among residents.
YB Dato Ir Lo Khere Chiang expressed appreciation to JKR and all involved parties for their hard work and cooperation in ensuring the successful completion of the project. He said the hall reflects the government’s dedication to creating comfortable and practical spaces for local communities, especially in semi-urban and rural areas.
“This hall is not just a building—it is a space for the people of Kampung Bumbok to come together, share ideas, and organize programs that enrich community life,” he said during the ceremony.
JKR representatives also emphasized that the project was completed according to schedule, following the department’s quality and safety standards. The hall is equipped with modern amenities to support a wide range of community functions.
