In his remarks, Anwar Ibrahim highlighted that the world is undergoing a profound shift in power dynamics across the economy, security, technology, and international governance. He stressed that traditional frameworks are no longer sufficient to manage these changes.

The Prime Minister underscored the need for Malaysia and Turkey to act as balancing voices against the hypocrisy of major powers, particularly in relation to ongoing oppression in Gaza and the conflict in Venezuela.

He urged developing nations to recognise that their future should not be dependent on any single superpower.

On technology, Anwar Ibrahim emphasised that progress, especially in artificial intelligence (AI), must be guided by values and wisdom.

He cautioned that technological advancement should empower societies rather than create new inequalities or undermine human dignity.

The Prime Minister also called for international law to be applied consistently, warning against selective enforcement.

He stated that atrocities in Gaza cannot be normalised or allowed to set dangerous precedents. Malaysia and Turkey, he affirmed, will continue to speak out, act, and demand justice on the global stage.

At a time of intense competition among global powers, Anwar Ibrahim stressed the importance of Malaysia and Turkey strengthening strategic cooperation.

He noted that both nations must defend shared principles and ensure that international law serves as a limit on power, rather than being manipulated to reinforce it.
