Deputy Finance Minister Briefed on Treasury’s Remuneration Policy Division

KUALA LUMPUR – The Deputy Minister of Finance, YB Liew Chin Tong, continued his engagement with the Treasury on Monday with a visit to the Remuneration Policy and Management Division (BDSP).

The session was attended by YBhg. Datuk Ramzi bin Mansor, Deputy Secretary-General of the Treasury (Management), alongside senior officers from BDSP.

The briefing aimed to provide the Deputy Minister with a comprehensive understanding of the division’s responsibilities and its role within the Ministry of Finance.

The presentation was led by YBrs. Encik Mazlan bin Abd Mutalib, Secretary of BDSP, who outlined the division’s scope of work.

BDSP oversees critical areas including human resource management, remuneration policy, financial management, management services, development, and procurement.

The briefing highlighted how BDSP plays a central role in shaping policies that directly impact the efficiency and integrity of the Ministry’s operations.

By managing remuneration structures and financial policies, the division ensures that governance standards are upheld while supporting the Treasury’s broader objectives.

YB Liew Chin Tong’s visit reflects his commitment to strengthening institutional frameworks and gaining deeper insights into the functions of key divisions within the Ministry.

His engagement with BDSP follows earlier sessions with the Treasury Integrity Unit, signalling a focus on both integrity and operational efficiency in financial governance.

The Deputy Minister’s continued outreach underscores the importance of collaboration between leadership and departmental officers.

By engaging directly with divisions such as BDSP, he aims to reinforce transparency, accountability, and effective policy implementation across the Ministry of Finance.

This visit forms part of his early initiatives since assuming office, demonstrating a proactive approach to understanding the Ministry’s internal mechanisms and ensuring that financial management remains aligned with national priorities.
