SELANGAU – The Civil Defence Force (APM) in Selangau responded swiftly to an emergency call involving an elderly man who was reported to be unwell at Rumah Umin, Sungai Nirai, on Monday, 2 March 2026.
The Selangau District Operations Control Centre received the alert from members of the public after the 78-year-old experienced severe stomach pain and weakness. Four APM personnel were immediately dispatched to the location.
Upon arrival, the team found the patient lying down, surrounded by family members. Officers carried out an initial medical assessment before transferring him onto a scoop stretcher. He was then taken to a nearby clinic for further examination and treatment.
According to APM Selangau, the man remained stable throughout the operation. Medical staff at the clinic have since taken over his care to ensure he receives appropriate follow-up.
