The incident was reported at 10:43 am and involved a team dispatched from the station, located approximately seven kilometres away.

The operation was led by PBK I Noor Faqriakmal, who commanded the team on site. According to the report, the snake, described as having batik-like markings, was found resting on a computer desk within the office.

The discovery was made by staff member Pn Aliya, who immediately alerted the authorities. The report was received by PBB Shahrul Azlan, who coordinated the response.

Firefighters arrived equipped with full personal protective gear and utilised a snake tracker unit to safely capture the reptile.

Once secured, the snake was released back into its natural habitat away from populated areas. The team confirmed that no injuries occurred during the operation and no complications were encountered.

The incident highlights the ongoing role of the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department in providing specialised services beyond firefighting.

Snake-catching operations are part of their broader mandate to ensure public safety, particularly in areas where wildlife encounters are more common.

Sri Aman, with its proximity to forested and rural landscapes, has seen occasional reports of snakes entering residential or office spaces.

Authorities have reminded the public to remain calm and avoid attempting to handle snakes themselves. Instead, residents are encouraged to contact the Fire and Rescue Department immediately if such situations arise.

Officials emphasised that trained personnel are best equipped to manage these encounters safely, reducing risks to both humans and wildlife.

This latest case adds to a series of similar operations across Sarawak, where fire stations have responded to calls involving snakes in homes, schools, and workplaces.

The department continues to stress the importance of awareness and preparedness, particularly during warmer months when snake activity tends to increase.

The Sri Aman Fire and Rescue Station reaffirmed its commitment to fast, efficient, and friendly service, ensuring that communities remain protected from unexpected hazards.

The successful resolution of the incident at MARA Sri Aman Office demonstrates the effectiveness of their specialised response teams.
