The incident was reported to PKOD Mukah in the late afternoon, with members of the public alerting authorities to the situation.

Upon arrival at the residence, officers found the victim in the living room, unable to move effectively due to his condition.

APM personnel acted swiftly, transferring the man onto a scoop stretcher before placing him in an ambulance for immediate transport to Mukah Hospital.

Medical staff there are expected to provide further treatment and assessment. Officials emphasised that the rapid response was part of APM Mukah’s commitment to community safety and health support.

The district office continues to encourage residents to contact them in emergencies, highlighting their 24-hour hotline at 084-872814.

The case underscores the importance of public awareness and timely reporting. Emergency services rely on community cooperation to ensure that vulnerable individuals receive urgent care when needed.

In situations involving sudden illness, particularly among elderly residents, quick intervention can make a significant difference in outcomes.

APM Mukah operates under the guiding principle of “Nang Steady”, reflecting its readiness to act decisively in times of crisis.

The organisation also reinforces its national motto, “There is a Disaster, Call APM”, reminding the public that trained personnel are available around the clock to handle emergencies ranging from medical incidents to disaster response.

Community leaders have praised the professionalism of the team, noting that their actions demonstrate the value of having a dedicated civil defence presence in Mukah.

The incident highlights the broader role of APM in safeguarding lives, not only during natural disasters but also in everyday health emergencies.

Residents are reminded that emergency services are a vital part of community resilience. By maintaining strong communication channels and responding quickly to calls, APM ensures that the safety and well-being of the public remain a top priority.
