KUCHING – The launch of “Laila Taib: Journey of Love & Compassion” was held on 12 April 2026 at Pustaka Negeri Sarawak, celebrating a life defined by kindness, compassion, and meaningful contributions to society.
The ceremony, which began at 10:00 am, was organised by Yang Berhormat Dato Hajjah Hanifah Hajar Taib and family in collaboration with Pustaka Negeri Sarawak.
The event honoured the legacy of Laila Taib, whose life story continues to inspire through her dedication to community service and humanitarian values.
In conjunction with the book launch, an exhibition titled “The Muslim Tatars in the Republic of Poland” was also unveiled.
The exhibition offered visitors a unique insight into the history, identity, and cultural heritage of the Tatar Muslim community in Poland.
Through photographs, artefacts, and narratives, the exhibition highlighted the resilience and contributions of this minority group within European society.
The dual event combined literary celebration with cultural exploration, providing attendees with a deeper appreciation of both local and international heritage.
