LUNDU – The Lundu District Council (MDL) conducted its Internal Quality Audit (IQA) session on 19 June 2026, aimed at evaluating compliance with established work procedures and the effectiveness of its quality management system.
The audit served as a structured review to ensure that organisational practices align with standards while identifying areas for improvement.
By examining operational processes, the session sought to strengthen accountability and enhance service delivery to the community.
Officials explained that the IQA is not only a compliance exercise but also a proactive measure to highlight opportunities for continuous improvement.
This approach reflects MDL’s commitment to maintaining high standards in governance and administration. The audit team, together with council staff, worked collaboratively throughout the session.
Their cooperation and dedication were acknowledged by the council, which expressed appreciation for the collective effort in ensuring the audit’s success.
The IQA also reinforced the importance of adopting a culture of quality within local government institutions.
By embedding systematic checks and reviews, the council aims to deliver services more effectively and meet the expectations of residents.
