KUCHING – The Governor of Sarawak, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Haji Wan Junaidi bin Tuanku Jaafar, accompanied by Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Hajjah Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, enjoyed a morning meal at Highlands Kopitiam, Medan Hamizan, Petra Jaya, on 3 July.
The couple arrived at the popular eatery at approximately 9.15 am, joined by Tun Pehin Sri’s brothers, Encik Wan Hussin bin Wan Ali and Encik Wan Mohammad Wan Yusuf.
Their presence drew warm greetings from the owner, Datin Patinggi Puan Sri Datuk Wira Lorna Enan Muloon, wife of former Deputy Chief Minister of Sarawak, Tan Sri Dr George Chan Hong Nam.
Highlands Kopitiam is well known for serving traditional Orang Ulu dishes, which have become a distinctive attraction for both locals and visitors.
During the visit, the Governor and Toh Puan sampled several of these delicacies, reflecting the rich culinary heritage of Sarawak’s diverse communities.
The relaxed outing also saw the Governor and Toh Puan mingling with other patrons, taking time to converse and pose for photographs.
