The incident, reported by members of the public, involved a male motorcyclist who sustained minor injuries after losing control of his vehicle.

The accident site was located approximately two kilometres from the Sri Aman District Operations Control Centre (PKOD).

An APM ambulance, designated CQ 216, was immediately dispatched to the scene with personnel on duty. Upon arrival, officers found the victim suffering from scratches and light injuries.

First aid was administered promptly before the injured man was transported to hospital for further treatment.

APM Sri Aman expressed gratitude to the public for their quick action in relaying information, which allowed emergency responders to reach the victim without delay.

The agency emphasised that community vigilance plays a vital role in ensuring timely assistance during emergencies.

Motorcycle accidents remain a common occurrence across Sarawak, with riders often vulnerable to injuries due to limited protection compared to other vehicles.

According to national road safety statistics, motorcyclists account for a significant proportion of traffic-related injuries and fatalities in Malaysia. In rural districts such as Sri Aman, narrow roads and uneven surfaces can increase the risk of accidents.

Authorities continue to urge motorcyclists to prioritise safety by wearing helmets, maintaining moderate speeds, and ensuring their vehicles are in good condition.

Public awareness campaigns have also been introduced to encourage responsible riding habits and reduce accident rates.

The Civil Defence Force in Sri Aman reiterated its commitment to providing rapid emergency response across the district.

Residents are reminded that emergency assistance can be requested through the district’s operations centre, which remains on standby for urgent calls.

This latest case highlights the importance of cooperation between the public and emergency services. The swift response by APM Sri Aman ensured that the victim received immediate care, underscoring the effectiveness of coordinated action in safeguarding community welfare.
