The call was made by a concerned member of the public, who quickly contacted the Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) for assistance.

Responding without delay, four APM personnel were deployed together with an ambulance, CQ 216, to the location approximately two kilometres from the PKOD.

Upon arrival, the team discovered the victim in a weakened state, unable to stand or move. Immediate first aid was administered by the officers on duty before the man was transported by ambulance to hospital for further medical evaluation and treatment.

APM Sri Aman expressed appreciation to the public for their swift action in reporting the case, emphasising that timely communication is crucial in ensuring rapid emergency response.

The agency highlighted that community vigilance plays a vital role in safeguarding lives, particularly in urgent medical situations where every minute counts.

Medical emergencies of this nature are not uncommon in Sarawak, where rural districts often face challenges in accessing healthcare facilities quickly.

Jalan Hospital Lama, being a busy route, has seen several incidents requiring intervention from emergency services.

The Civil Defence Force continues to stress the importance of public cooperation in reporting emergencies promptly.

National health statistics indicate that sudden weakness or immobility can be linked to various medical conditions, including stroke, neurological disorders, or severe fatigue.

While the exact cause of the victim’s condition has not been disclosed, authorities have urged residents to seek immediate medical help when encountering similar symptoms.

Early intervention, they note, can significantly improve recovery outcomes. The Civil Defence Force in Sri Aman remains committed to its mission of providing rapid assistance across the district.

With trained personnel and equipped ambulances on standby, the agency assures residents that emergency support is available whenever needed.

This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of community awareness and the role of emergency services in maintaining public safety.

The cooperation between the public and APM Sri Aman ensured that the victim received timely care, reinforcing the effectiveness of coordinated action in protecting lives.
