BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN – His Excellency the Governor of Sarawak, Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Haji Wan Junaidi bin Tuanku Jaafar, together with Her Excellency Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Hajjah Fauziah binti Mohd Sanusi, enjoyed a cultural and gastronomic experience at Aminah Arif Restaurant in Bandar Seri Begawan on Thursday, 16 July 2026.
The distinguished guests were treated to a variety of traditional Bruneian dishes, including the country’s iconic national delicacy, Ambuyat, accompanied by an array of side dishes and snacks. The visit highlighted Brunei’s rich culinary heritage, which has been preserved through generations and continues to attract both locals and tourists.
Aminah Arif Restaurant is recognised as one of Brunei’s most iconic dining destinations, celebrated for its dedication to maintaining authentic recipes that reflect the nation’s cultural identity. The stopover provided an opportunity for the Sarawak Governor and Toh Puan to appreciate the uniqueness of Brunei’s food traditions and strengthen cultural ties between Sarawak and Brunei Darussalam.
His Excellency Tun Pehin Sri and YABhg. Toh Puan expressed gratitude to the restaurant’s management for their warm hospitality and the dishes prepared.
