The ceremony, held at the Balingian Subdistrict Office, marks another significant milestone in the state’s housing agenda. The RSP project is designed to provide quality, comfortable, and affordable housing for local communities, aligning with HDC’s commitment to supporting the Sarawak Government’s vision of inclusive development.

YB Abdul Yakub highlighted that the initiative reflects the government’s dedication to ensuring that rural and semi-urban communities benefit from modern housing facilities. The RSP programme has been rolled out across various districts in Sarawak, offering affordable homes that meet the needs of low- and middle-income families.

The Balingian Village Expansion Scheme is expected to enhance living standards, strengthen community resilience, and support the state’s broader development goals. By providing accessible housing, the project contributes to reducing socio-economic disparities and fostering balanced growth across Sarawak.

HDC reiterated its mission to continue collaborating with stakeholders to deliver housing projects that prioritise affordability, sustainability, and community wellbeing. The corporation emphasised that housing development is not only about infrastructure but also about building stronger, more cohesive communities.

The signing ceremony underscores the government’s proactive approach in addressing housing needs and ensuring that every Sarawakian has access to safe and comfortable living spaces.
