KUALA LUMPUR – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has reminded the country’s future civil servants that public service is a responsibility grounded in integrity, competence and an unwavering commitment to national interests.
His message was delivered during an engagement session with Administrative and Diplomatic Officer (PTD) cadets currently enrolled in the Postgraduate Diploma in Public Management Programme.
The session, held as part of the government’s continuous effort to strengthen the quality of Malaysia’s administrative leadership, focused on the values and expectations placed upon those entering the civil service.
Anwar highlighted that the mandate entrusted to civil servants is not merely administrative but carries significant implications for national development and public trust.

The PTD cadet programme, administered by the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN), is designed to equip new officers with the knowledge, skills and values required to serve in key government roles.
The curriculum includes modules on public policy, governance, administrative law, strategic planning and leadership development.
