Mayor and Minister Attend “Call of the Tribes” Festival Launch at The Old Courthouse
Kuching (1st October)– MBKS Mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng and Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Sarawak, YB Dato Sri Haji Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, attended the launch of “Call of the Tribes” at The Gardens, The Old Courthouse. The event was part of the 6th edition of the WAK 2024 Festival, celebrating the arts and culture of Kuching.
The weather was perfect for the outdoor event, which saw many tourists, both local and international, gather at the historic Old Courthouse grounds. Dato Wee expressed his gratitude for being invited to the ceremony, praising the festival organizers and noting the strong media presence.
The festival is a key part of the #whataboutkuching (#wak) celebration, bringing together people to appreciate the rich cultural heritage of the city. The event highlighted the importance of arts in promoting tourism and community unity.
