The CMAA High Pole Southern Lion Dance Team also showcased commendable skill, finishing in the Top 8, despite incurring a penalty of 0.6 points. The remarkable achievements were led by Team Manager Kapitan Tan Kun Gee, with officials Nelson Nguang and Calvin Kong contributing their expertise as judges appointed by the Dragon & Lion Dance Federation of Malaysia.

Adding to the honour, CMAA athlete Kong Wen Ying was selected to lead the Championship Athletes’ Oath during the opening ceremony, an accolade that brought immense pride to the Sarawak contingent.
