Yang di-Pertuan Agong Briefed on Security by National Police Chief

JOHOR BAHRU – His Majesty Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim received an audience with Datuk Seri Mohd Khalid Ismail, Inspector-General of Police, at Istana Pasir Pelangi today.

During the meeting, His Majesty, who also serves as the Honorary Commissioner of the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM), was briefed on matters concerning national security.

The session underscored the importance of close cooperation between the monarchy and law enforcement in safeguarding the country’s stability.

The audience highlighted the Agong’s continued commitment to staying informed on security developments and supporting the work of the police force. Discussions centred on current challenges and strategies to strengthen national resilience.

Also present at the meeting was HRH Tunku Mahkota Ismail, Regent of Johor, who joined the briefing alongside His Majesty.

The engagement reflects the ongoing collaboration between Malaysia’s leadership and its security agencies, ensuring that national interests remain protected as the country enters the new year.
