Civil Defence Force Captures Baby Python in Bintulu

BINTULU – The Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) in Bintulu successfully captured a baby python on 20 May 2026 after receiving an emergency call from the public.

The District Operations Control Centre (PKOD) was alerted to the incident by TMRC, reporting the presence of a snake behind the kitchen of a residence in Kampung Tian.

The reptile was found under the iron fence of the complainant’s house, prompting immediate action from Civil Defence personnel.

Upon arrival, members conducted a thorough inspection of the area and located the python, which measured approximately one metre in length. Using the tongs technique, the team managed to secure the snake safely without incident.

The operation was carried out smoothly, and the situation was declared safe following the capture. The snake was removed from the premises for further action, ensuring the safety of the household and surrounding community.
