BINTULU – The Bintulu District Operations Control Centre (PKOD Bintulu) responded to an emergency call on Monday involving a road accident with a Honda Wave motorcycle.
The incident involved an adult male who sustained injuries to his head and left leg. Although weakened by the accident, the victim remained conscious and responsive when emergency personnel arrived at the scene.
Members of the Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM Bintulu) provided immediate treatment on-site. The victim was stabilised and carefully lifted using a spinal board before being transferred by ambulance to Bintulu Hospital for further medical care.
Authorities highlighted that the swift response demonstrated the importance of rapid coordination between emergency services and hospitals.
The use of proper equipment ensured the victim was handled safely, reducing the risk of further injury during transport.
APM Bintulu reminded the public that their hotline is available 24 hours a day at 086-318233, in addition to the national emergency line at 999.
