SPAOH – The Malaysian Civil Defence Force in Spaoh District responded to a call from Kampung Hulu Spaoh on Sunday morning, 26 April 2026, after a resident reported the presence of a python inside his home.
The District Operations Control Centre (PKOD) received the alert at 10.25 am, prompting the Aspa-02 Charlie Squad, led by Sergeant (PA) Noriza Binti Japar and assisted by two members, to move swiftly to the location equipped with snake-catching tools.
According to the complainant, the reptile was seen sneaking into a wardrobe. Upon inspection, officers discovered a python measuring approximately three feet in length. Using the pincer technique, the team successfully captured the snake without incident.
Sergeant Noriza confirmed that the python was secured in a venomous animal box before being transported back to PKOD for further action.
“During the process of capturing the snake, the members were safe and there were no injuries involving members or the public,” she said.
The operation highlighted the readiness and efficiency of the Civil Defence Force in handling wildlife emergencies.
