KUCHING – Kuching North City Hall (DBKU) has organised a comprehensive workshop aimed at strengthening the investigative and enforcement skills of its officers.
The programme, held from 22 to 26 June 2026, was coordinated by the Human Resources Management Division (HRM) in collaboration with the Enforcement and Security Division (ENS).
A total of 24 participants attended the workshop, which focused on practical and technical aspects of enforcement work.
Officers were trained in arrest procedures, suspect and premises inspections, evidence handling, and the preparation of investigation papers, reports, diaries and supporting documents.
The sessions also emphasised the importance of ethics and integrity in enforcement. Participants were reminded that professionalism and transparency are essential in ensuring compliance with legal provisions and maintaining public trust.
By combining theoretical knowledge with practical exercises, the workshop aimed to equip officers with the skills needed to carry out investigations effectively and responsibly.

The initiative reflects DBKU’s ongoing commitment to capacity building and professional development. Strengthening the competence of enforcement officers is seen as vital to ensuring efficient service delivery and safeguarding the well-being of Kuching’s citizens.
Officials noted that the workshop forms part of DBKU’s broader strategy to enhance operational readiness and improve the quality of enforcement actions.
By investing in training, DBKU aims to ensure that its officers are equipped to meet the challenges of modern urban governance.
The programme concluded with a reaffirmation of DBKU’s dedication to integrity-based enforcement. The corporation stressed that continuous training and development are key to maintaining high standards and ensuring that enforcement duties are carried out effectively for the benefit of the community.
