The programme sought to raise awareness about the significance of mental health, foster a deeper understanding of emotional challenges in interpersonal relationships, and equip attendees with practical skills for effective emotional management. By focusing on these areas, organisers aimed to promote mutual well-being and stronger social bonds within the community.

In recent years, the Sarawak Islamic Religious Affairs Department has intensified its efforts to provide accessible mental health support, particularly through digital platforms. This initiative aligns with broader trends in public health, where online counselling has become increasingly popular due to its convenience and ability to reach a wider audience.

The choice of topic reflects growing recognition of the impact that emotional health has on marital and social harmony. Experts note that effective communication and emotional regulation are critical in maintaining healthy relationships, especially in today’s fast-paced society.

Participants engaged in interactive discussions and received guidance on managing stress, resolving conflicts, and nurturing positive interactions. The session also highlighted the role of faith-based counselling in addressing mental health concerns, offering a holistic approach that integrates spiritual and psychological well-being.
