JKR Bintulu Unveils Tatau-Sebauh Education Office Project

BINTULU – The Sarawak Public Works Department (JKR) Bintulu Division has initiated the construction of the new Tatau/Sebauh District Education Office with a formal kick-off session held on 14 May 2026.

The meeting marked the beginning of a significant infrastructure project aimed at strengthening education administration in rural parts of the division.

The session took place at the Bintulu Division Public Works Department Meeting Room and was chaired by Division Engineer Ir. Lau Sie Hung.

Also in attendance were site engineer Ms Nursahira Binti Ibrahim, agency representatives, consulting teams and other stakeholders directly involved in the project’s implementation.

The meeting focused on ensuring comprehensive coordination across all aspects of the project. Discussions covered the scope of work, technical planning, compliance with specifications, site requirements and the overall implementation schedule.

JKR emphasised the importance of integrity, transparency and professionalism throughout the construction period to ensure the project meets established standards and governance requirements.

Once completed, the facility will serve as a modern, safe and resilient administrative centre, enhancing efficiency in education management and providing stronger support for schools in the area.
